For the last 20 years, Anthony Laban has been one of London’s most-sought after hairdressers and has led his own team of stylists and colourists who pride themselves on providing a service which is second to none.
As the founder and owner of three successful boutique salons in SW London, Anthony’s ‘Home’ hair salon was awarded the title of ‘Best Local Salon’ at the prestigious 2015 UK Salon Business Awards.
Locals may be most familiar with the Anthony Laban Barbershop – inspired by the traditional urban, cool barbers he’d seen in New York. The barbershop is nestled amongst the boutiques, coffee shops and antique emporiums of Northcote Road.
In 2018, Anthony launched a fresh new hair and makeup salon at 113 Northcote Road. Mint Hair London presents clients with the hottest new colour trends, haircutting techniques and glamorous makeup application, offering a full suite of treatments in just one location.
All three of Anthony’s salons share the same philosophy for success: providing an all-inclusive excellent service and ensuring the business is part of the local community.
As a passionate advocate for local businesses, Anthony has been actively involved with community associations and projects since 1992 when he joined the business consultation group for Battersea Power Station. Since then he has gone on to launch the Lavender Hill Traders Association, ran the Bellevue Road business network and street party for one year, managed the first Lavender Hill street Party in 2006 and has been on the Clapham Town Centre Board since inception.
As Chair of Clapham Junction BID, Anthony brings a wealth of experience and, along with his drive and enthusiasm, is committed to working with the BID team to deliver the three key objectives voted for in the BID Ballot: Marketing and Promotion, Safe and Welcoming and Events and Festivals.
