Mark has lived and worked in the Clapham Junction area for 20 years and is the General Manager at the iconic entertainment venue – The Clapham Grand.
Housed in a Victorian listed building, The Clapham Grand originally opened as a music hall in early 19th century. Today, it has embedded itself in London’s nightlife hosting club nights, live gigs, films, comedy and bingo with a 1250 capacity.
Outside of his demanding role, Mark is a huge sports fan and, when he’s not taxiing his family to sporting events, he enjoys watching sport in the comfort of his own home.
In his job at The Clapham Grand, Mark works closely with the local council and police and has helped introduce initiatives such as The Love Your Phone project, a campaign to reduce mobile phone theft, which was later rolled out London-wide.
As part of the BID team, he will be actively involved in working towards making The Junction a safe and welcoming destination.
