Originally from Australia, Patrick moved to the UK over 12 years ago and originally worked in banking for 16 years as a COO in the equity’s business.
Patrick has since moved away from the financial sector to focus on a new business venture and recently brought The Source – an Australian wholefoods zero-waste chain – to the UK. Along with his wife, Makayla Drummond-Murray, the pair now operate three stores with one based in Battersea Rise. The stores came after a year spent establishing the brand in the UK, identifying key store components and locating local suppliers.
The Source Bulk Foods was born in Australia in 2012 and is a fantastic example of a growing zero-waste franchise. Stocking organic wholefoods, cooking oils and sustainable household items, they address the growing desire for a more sustainable lifestyle.
As one of the first stores in the UK to offer a single-use-plastic-free shopping experience, Source is certainly taking the lead in conscious consumerism. Anthony’s past experience in the financial industry, combined with his knowledge and passion for zero-waste living and healthy food, gives him an informed perspective on business in the community as he takes on the role as a BID Board Director.
