Sinabro, a modern French-inspired restaurant on Battersea Rise is the first solo venture from husband and wife duo, Yoann Chevet and Sujin Lee - bringing a relaxed fine dining experience to the South London neighbourhood.
The kitchen is headed up by French native Yoann whose 27 year career has spanned working in some of the finest Michelin-starred kitchens in both Paris and London including Taillevent, Le Meurice, Le Table du Joël Robuchon, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Hélène Darozze at The Connaught and Galvin at Windows.
The seasonal menu features highlights snacks such as Daily made sourdough bread, smoked butter, seaweed pesto and Pig trotters croquettes, starters of Foie gras chantilly, white bean soup and Pan fried polenta, lardo, kimchi, ricotta, mains of Stone bass, rainbow chanterelle, celeriac, lemon dressing and Duck breast, salsify, beetroot, yuzu sauce and Venison fillet, potimarron, chocolate sauce desserts including Fondant au chocolat, walnut ice cream and Rice pudding, pistachio, mango sorbet, matcha.
Diners can either choose from the A la Carte Menu, or the 5 Course Tasting Menu (£49) and for an additional £39, enjoy matching wines. Menus change frequently depend on seasonal Fresh ingredients and inspirations. The small but well-crafted wine list features a selection of wines focused on the Loire Valley in France where Yoann came from and South America, hand-picked by Le Cordon Bleu trained co-owner Sujin. Sinabro is also open for lunch offering a set lunch priced at £22 (two courses) or £25 (three courses) on Friday and Saturday.
Sinabro is a cosy, intimate 22 cover restaurant with a minimalist interior that features effortless Parisian chic. Both Sujin and Yoann refurbished the restaurant themselves from scratch using objects collected from their travels to France, South Korea and Spain. The main room features a 14 cover long centre table – made by Christian Chevet, Yoann’s Father from 38 year old matured Oak (he also made every table and chair in the restaurant at his atelier in Vendôme, France), which overlooks the open-plan kitchen. Towards the rear of the restaurant is a smaller, more intimate room perfect for larger groups to have their own dining space.
Sinabro brings together high-quality seasonal ingredients, sophisticated cooking and relaxed service to create an unforgettable dining experience that shouldn’t be missed.
