A MESSAGE FROM THE NORTHCOTE ROAD BUSINESS NETWORK | MARCH 22, 2020
In line with government advice to avoid all unnecessary contact or mass gatherings due to the Coronavirus, The Junction BID Board have taken the decision to postpone all future events - including business gatherings, training events and consumer-facing promotions and festivals - until later on this summer. This includes the 2020 Junction Summer Festival on Northcote Road on 12 July.
These decisions have not been taken lightly, and even though we hope we’re through the worst of the current situation over the next few months, the reality is that such a huge amount of work goes on well in advance of these events, and it would be irresponsible to incur large costs and employ additional staff to work on an event that has a very high probability of being cancelled nearer the time.
We continue to work with the Police to ensure a safe and secure environment for businesses and have also joined forces with Meercats Associates, a procurement consultancy that provides support services to over 100 BIDs throughout the UK.
We’re also maintaining and updating our website www.visitclaphamjunction.com and the BID social media channels. We continue to work on the launch of our B2B App for businesses and B2C App for residents and businesses.
