It’s certainly been an unprecedented year! Despite three national lockdowns, local restrictions and huge disruptions to everyday life, we’re delighted to share plenty of positive news emerging from our local business community – businesses that have worked tirelessly over the last 12 months, demonstrating incredible innovation, resilience, generosity and fortitude during such challenging times.
Our amazing cafés, restaurants, bars, shops, entertainment venues and local businesses contribute so much to our vibrant community, making Clapham Junction a hugely popular destination with locals and visitors from both near and afar. And so, during the past year, we’ve been absolutely thrilled to see over 35 new businesses open up in the locale. Here’s just a taster of what’s arrived on your doorstep over the last 12 months…

Oree: An artisan bakery that brings a taste of the boulangeries and patisseries of rural France to London, including freshly baked sourdough bread, delicious pastries and tasty baked goods, handcrafted by their London chefs.
Pizzicheria Grappelli: A new venture from our friend Alessandro Grappelli, owner of the hugely popular Taverna Trastevere on St. John’s Hill, who brings a new Italian Deli/Butchers to the road.
Clarendon Fine Art: This new boutique gallery specialises in contemporary paintings and sculptures from some of the world's most talented emerging artists and from many important and influential names in recent history.
East Street by Tampopo Battersea: A fabulous pop-up serving some of South East Asia's favourite street snacks, including small plates, salads and greens, along with authentic Asian beers, Asian influenced cocktails, refreshing wines and soft drinks.
Chalkboard: Learning and fun certainly go hand-in-hand at Chalkboard Toys, with a huge selection of books, puzzles, games and educational toys. Enjoy a hands-on shopping experience where young ones are encouraged to educate and create!
Northcote Plumbing and Electrical Ltd: Operating in London and beyond, this local company offers a wide range of services for homes and businesses.
Opa Opa: This is Greek souvlaki redefined. Transfer yourself to a place of sun and good food and enjoy a grilled meat skewer souvlaki, wrapped in a fluffy pitta and drizzled with dips, along with all the traditional dishes you'd expect to find – from Greek salads to moussaka.

Kokoro: This Korean Japanese takeaway is known for its sushi and bento. From soups, sushi and salads to spicy curries and stir-fries, Kokoro serves up scrumptious delights to feed your heart, soul and spirit.
BATTERSEA RISE

Palmer Fisher: A new hair salon run by a husband-and-wife duo – Jonathan and Nikita Fisher – who, between them, have over 30 years of experience in the industry. Both are extremely passionate about creating a hair salon where clients feel at home.
Mera: Sample intense and exhilarating Japanese flavours, the traditions of Peruvian fresh fish cuisine, the spicy touch of tex-mex with meat and fish tacos, plus the heritage of European dishes. All superbly complemented by refined cocktails and wines from their cosy bar.

LAVENDER HILL

Perfect Smile: A brand new, state-of-the-art dental practice offering both NHS and private services, along with a range of cosmetic and facial rejuvenation treatments.
YORI: A Korean barbecue restaurant, offering a traditional-yet-reinterpreted-Korean approach, with group executive chef – Park Junchul – overseeing the menu. Signature dishes include barbecued pork or beef bulgogi marinated in our house sauce, stir-fried Korean glass noodles with vegetables and pan-fried Korean dumplings.
TaxAssist Accountants: A network of qualified accountants who are on hand to deliver accounting and tax services to independent business owners.
Clapham Cycle: Founded in 2016, Clapham Cycle is a unique cycling community, based in South West London, which is opening its first cycle store on Lavender Hill. Retailing bikes and accessories, this new hub is home to the club and incorporates a cycle repair workshop for the local community.
The London and South Western: A new Wetherspoons pub serving an all-day menu of hot and cold food, located in the old Revolution Bar premises.
Hannah Battersea: A PYO (pour your own) bar and restaurant with over 30 beer and wine self-service dispensers. The cocktail menu features all the classics, and the Hannah kitchen offers brunch, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
2 Love Tea and Coffee House: A specialist in serving high-end coffee and tea in-house, and retailer of quality products. Enjoy over 15 different types of single-origin coffees and over 50 different types of tea from different countries and regions!
