INDIAN

Tamila

Tamila on Northcote Road is guaranteed to treat your palate to an explosion of flavours, with mouth-watering dosa, succulent tandoori dishes, plus a selection of spicy and tangy curries.

From the same team behind the Tamil Prince, Tamila offers a relaxed, buzzing atmosphere and a perfectly crafted menu that spotlights traditional South Indian street food. Winners of a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand, their signature dishes include chicken lollipops with sweet chilli chutney, masala dosas, Tandoori chicken, Chettinad lamb curry and deliciously flaky rotis.

For drinks, keep things spicy with their Gunpowder Margareta, or, if things get a little too hot, a Tamila lager may be in order. Alternatively, you can always cool things down with Tamila’s mango soft serve!

Akash

Meanwhile, further along the road, Akash Tandoori has been a constant in Clapham Junction since 1981. Their authentic and fusion-inspired dishes, including Tandoori specialities such as Tandoori Fish Masala and a Tandoori Mixed Grill, make this a firm favourite with locals.

JAPANESE & KOREAN

Kibou

On Northcote Road, Kibou proudly prepares every classic and contemporary dish by hand in this stylish restaurant, set against a colourful backdrop of Japanese murals.

Signature dishes include ‘Volcano’ sushi rolls – 10-piece futomaki with salmon, avocado and tobiko, dipped in tempura batter, fried and drizzled with special KIBOU sauces – and handmade gyoza filled with lightly spiced pork mince, steamed and pan-fried, served with a homemade dipping sauce.

If that doesn’t tickle your taste buds, there’s an outstanding menu featuring steaming ramen, spicy katsu curries, fluffy bao buns and crispy tempura dishes, to name but a few.

HANA Korean Restaurant

Located on Battersea Rise, HANA Korean Restaurant has been embedded in the Battersea community since 2012. This friendly, family-run restaurant is known for its tasty, authentic Korean cuisine, full of ‘heart and Seoul’, with dishes ranging from dumplings and savoury pancakes to glass noodles, spicy hotpots, kimchi baps and barbecue specialities.

Rosa’s Thai Café

Rosa’s Thai Café arrived on Northcote Road in 2019 and has served authentic Thai dishes to thousands of locals and visitors ever since.

Beyond a great selection of Thailand's best-known dish – Pad Thai – Rosa’s chefs serve up a feast of noodle soups, stir-fries, curries, salads and small plates. 

A recommended speciality is their iconic Pad Kra Prow – a spicy and fragrant stir–fry with Thai holy basil, fresh chillies and green beans in a stir–fry sauce, served with jasmine rice and a crispy wok-fried egg – all of which can be washed down nicely with a cold pint of Singha beer.

For a taste of Vietnam, Pho on Battersea Rise is at your service with a healthy, tasty menu for eating in or takeaway.

Pho (pronounced ‘fuh’) is a traditional, comforting rice noodle soup served with fresh herbs and spices on the side for you to add at your discretion, and it forms the heart of their freshly prepared menu. You’ll also find Vietnamese salads, curries, noodle dishes, and rice bowls, with something for every level of spice tolerance.
