Clapham Junction Photography Competition

Monday 19^th August is World Photography Day and to celebrate, we’re launching a competition, in conjunction with Archer Street SW11 on Northcote Road, Laser Clinics UK on St John’s Road and Zambrero on St John's Road to win some fantastic prizes!

Prizes will go to the best photos taken of Clapham Junction (within The Junction BID region*), so get your smart phones or cameras out and start snapping!

To enter, simply DM us, post your picture on Instagram and tag @the_junction_bid (remember to use the hashtag #TheJunctionComp). The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 6th September 2024.

• First prize: Four x bottomless tickets to any brunch of your choice at Archer Street SW11
• First runner-up: £50 gift card to spend at Laser Clinics UK on St John's Road
• Second runner-up: Two x free burritos and a tote bag at Zambrero on St John's Road

Terms and conditions

1. The promoter is Clapham Junction Business Improvement District (BID) Ltd, Company Number 11847063 whose registered office is at 16 West Barnes Lane, West Wimbledon, London SW20 0BU.
2. This Competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except employees of Clapham Junction BID Ltd, and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
3. All information detailing how to enter this Competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
4. Entry is via Instagram by tagging @the_junction_bid and using the hashtag #TheJunctionComp. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries or entries via email.
5. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
6. To qualify, images must be taken in The Junction BID region which covers Clapham Junction Station, St John’s Road, Northcote Road, St John’s Hill, and parts of Battersea Rise, Falcon Road (as far north as the railway bridge) and Lavender Hill (up to Battersea Arts Centre).
7. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit which include an identifiable person or persons have been taken with the permission of the person or persons pictured and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
8. Copyright in all images submitted for this Competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Clapham Junction BID Ltd to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
9. Only one entry per person. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
10. The winning entries will be those judged to be the most visually appealing, original and self-explanatory. The winners will be notified within seven days of the closing date of the competition.
11. The winner shall win four x bottomless tickets which can be redeemed against any brunch at Archer Street SW11 on Northcote Road. The first runner-up will receive a Laser Clinics UK gift card worth £50 which can be redeemed at the St John’s Road clinic. The second runner-up will win two x free burritos and a tote bag which can be collected from Zambrero on St John's Road.
12. Tickets and gift cards must be redeemed no later than the date specified on them. Change cannot be given if tendered for an amount less than the value of the gift cards. The gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be refunded.
13. The winners may be required to take part in publicity.
14. The winner’s name and county may be disclosed to anyone who writes within one month after the published closing date, stating the date of publication and enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, to Clapham Junction Business Improvement District (BID) Ltd, PCS Union, 160 Falcon Road, SW11 2LN.
15. The prizes as described are available on the date of publication. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
16. Events may occur that render the Competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly, the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the Competition and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
17. The Promoter is responsible for the first part of the promotion, which is the publication and adjudication of the competition. All other facilities connected with the provision of the prize are the responsibility of the aforementioned businesses (Archer Street SW11, Laser Clinics UK and Zambrero).
