Last weekend, we celebrated an infusion of culture at the new Lavender Hill Festival.

A COMMUNITY FESTIVAL
Battersea Arts Centre – the cultural heartbeat for arts and entertainment in Clapham Junction – played host to this exciting new event on Sunday, 7 September!
The day-long community festival was free and open to all ages, with activities taking place in Battersea Arts Centre, along Town Hall Road and Lavender Hill.

FASHION SHOW
Set inside the Grand Hall, the fashion show was a heartfelt tribute to Warilace — model agent, mother agent, trailblazer, and pioneer in promoting African culture in London.

In addition to the Fashion Show (Grand Hall), African Storytelling Sessions, Children’s Entertainment, Art Installations, and Live Music visitors were invited to come along and savour world cuisines, including Mexican bites and churros in our Street Food Village!

AFTER PARTY AT THE GRAND!
To make a weekend of it at the Lavender Hill Festival, The Clapham Grand hosted an after-party comedy show, Shoot from the Hip, a hilarious improvised comedy show featuring chaotic games, epic scenes, and ever-so-slightly unhinged performances!
