  • International Womens Day In Clapham Junction
Post Date: 28 Feb 2023

International Women’s Day on 8th March is our time to celebrate all the dynamic women across the world who contribute so much to our social, economic, cultural and political make-up.

It’s a day that’s been observed since the early 1900s, in an era when women fought for the rights that so many of us take for granted today, paving the way for women's equality and emancipation.

This month we shine a light on the inspiring female entrepreneurs in our own business community, the women who work as owners, partners and managers across a range of start-ups, social enterprises, nationals and sole traders.

Wandsworth Enterprise Awards 2023

Female entrepreneurs are well-known for being tenacious, inventive and have an amazing ability to adapt. The Wandsworth Women’s Enterprise Awards have been created to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of small business owners and sole traders to the borough.

The awards, which feature six categories, will shine a spotlight on the achievements of female entrepreneurs – many of whom run a successful business whilst juggling the needs of their families.

So, if you run a start-up, social enterprise, or are a sole trader and believe that you deserve recognition – or you know someone who does – then nominate yourself or them for up to two categories. Find out more here...

NB: Closing date for all entries is Sunday 5th March 2023.
