Want to rent an e-bike near you? Wandsworth Borough Council has recently announced plans to proceed with its active travel ambitions by working with Lime, Forest and Voi to support e-bikes and e-scooters as a sustainable mode of travel.
This popular form of transport has seen 6.8 million trips made by rented e-bikes across Wandsworth in the year from May 2024 to May 2025 and, to meet growing demand, Wandsworth is committed to making journeys safer and more accessible for everyone.
This includes tackling the issue of inconsiderate parking with 170 dedicated on-street parking bays already installed across the borough (with more bays planned), along with strict no-parking zones. In addition, the public can report badly parked or abandoned e-rentals to the council and have them removed and impounded (at the operating company’s expense).
What’s more, Lime and Voi e-scooters are only available to rent from these dedicated bays (where all trips must start and end in a dedicated bay), and strict safety standards include speed caps, always-on lights and the mandatory requirement for users to hold a valid driving license.
ACCESS FOR ALL
To ensure this popular mode of sustainable transport is available to everyone, Wandsworth Council offers a generous concessionary scheme called Access for All. Those who are eligible can get 50% off rides on Lime and Forest e-bikes, and Lime and Voi e-scooters. To check if you’re eligible for Access for All and to claim your discount, click here…

THE BENEFITS OF E-BIKES AND E-SCOOTERS
Simply put, it offers flexibility, convenience, cost savings and, importantly, it reduces traffic congestion and our carbon footprint. And, aside from being a practical way to get around busy town centres, cycling brings with it both physical and mental health benefits.
In Clapham Junction, e-bikes and e-scooters provide the perfect way to navigate our distinct district, each offering a unique visitor experience – from St Johns Hill, Lavender Hill, Falcon Lane, St Johns Road, Battersea Rise and Northcote Road – all while saving time as an often quicker alternative to walking or driving.
