Providing A Safe Space For All

Post Date: 04 Nov 2024

The Safe Space Wandsworth initiative in Clapham Junction provides a safe space for women and girls, or anyone who is feeling vulnerable.

You can find the Safe Space located outside the St John’s Hill exit of Clapham Junction station, every Friday night between 8-11pm.

This initiative is a joint venture between Wandsworth Council’s Community Safety Service and Partnership, the Metropolitan Police Service in Wandsworth, and the British Transport Police, supported by The Junction BID, and is designed to help people feel more at ease when enjoying the night time economy.

Members of the public can seek support and advice for all forms of violence against women and girls by using the gazebo to wait safely for onward transport or have a chat with officers and volunteers. Personal safety information, details of local support services and free personal safety resources are available.

If you ever need support or wish to seek advice about keeping safe on a night out, please drop by.
