THE CLAPHAM GRAND

This Grade II listed building first opened its doors in 1900 as ‘The New Grand Theatre of Varieties’ and very quickly established itself as the go-to music hall and variety venue for locals, featuring many well-known artists of the time.

In 1927, the theatre was fitted for cinema use and, after changing hands multiple times and swapping usage between a cinema, bingo club and live music venue – along with a closure of 10 years – it finally relaunched as The Clapham Grand, the entertainment venue we know and love today, hosting a nightclub, live gigs, films, bingo and events, and attracting famous acts from across the UK and beyond.
