This weekend, we celebrate International Women's Day – a day when we recognise the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and a call for action to accelerate gender parity.

IWD has been observed since the early 1900s – a period of growth and change in the industrialised world, increasing populations and the emergence of new ideas. It was an era when women fought for rights that many of us now take for granted, paving the way for women's equality and emancipation.
